Redesigned
model nets big payoff
The
FreeSoftwareClub was missing the boat. After I founded the company and successfully led it's public offering, I turned the day-to-day business over to a new CEO.
But the dot-com tide came and went, and the original business model wasn't working.
I
redesigned everything from the ground up, capitalizing on what
had already been built (a real-time, online member database),
and repositioning it as the GreatOffersClub. Members could sample products and upload reviews, sharing information with a larger community.
I
made several key alliances that affordably drove visitors and
registration to the site. In a matter of just a few short months,
the GreatOffersClub had over 3 million members and a sustainable
business model
We built an interactive online community, a "social network" long before the term was used.
